FIUTS orientation opening was the first UW activity I took part in. 
FIUTS is the organization that offers various services and events for int'l student, but they didnt assign me a host family at the beginning!!

Well, everyone in the opening ceremony was quite excited. Being freshmen in UW, we all looked forward to the new campus life. There were even many greeting and welcoming signs hanged everywhere in UW...

In addition, I came across another MBA exchange from Denmark, Maria, in that morning as well. She just sat next to me and was the first MBA exchange I met. Unfortunately, we only had one same class in the autumn quarter. Hence, I had no chance to talk with her more often......Anyways, what i envy her the most is her long long long legs!!!!!

Originally, I thought I might make some good frnds in FIUTS' activities. However, everyone was too busy after class started. Maybe also b/c of my shyness and passiveness, some frnds I knew via FIUTS seldom get in continuous touch with each other now.....

Also on that day, a nice Comcast guy came to my house to install the Internet and the Cable. Iris and I finally can surf the Internet at ur home.....:) But this discount deal only lasts to the end of 2005, we still hv to negotiate  for the discounted payment again with Comcast at the beginning of 2006. Damn it....!!

Anyways, with the Internet and the Cable, ur place looks more like a complete home now...:) The only thing we still  lacked for was a TV!! It was really unbearable and stupid that we couldn't watch TV even with the Cable......
