After working out at IMA, i visited Cafe Allegro on 42nd st and u-way again.
A nice place to hv a break w/ frnds or work w/ a laptop by yourself.

Cafe Allegro impresses me a lot due to its legend.
Shoco's BF, Key-One told me its story when we met the last time before shoco went back to JPN.

The godfather of every Starbuck's coffeeshop worldwide, Dave Olsen, founded Cafe Allegro in 1975.
Later, he joined with Howard Shultz in turning Starbucks from a local retailer of quality beans and coffee impliments to the giant enterprise it is today. But Cafe Allegro still remains its original appearance.

Thus, it's said Cafe Allegro is Seattle's oldest coffee house. From the pic above, you can easily feel the tradition.

See, they still keep the coupon used in 1985 (rite). The left one is a poem written by its old customer; sharing the reason to visit Allegro..:)

On the wall in the left pic, they collect various cash papers from their customers all over the world.
Of course, it's easy to find the NTD here..:)
The rite pic represents the back part of the store.

Its upstairs has a balcony which you can sit outside during a sunny day and enjoy an unobstructed view across a parking lot to the green UW campus. Vines climbing all over the wall next to the cafe also increases the mysterious atmosphere. :p

Sitting in Allegro w/ a nice Mocha.
It might be the best way to experience the most original Starbucks w/o any giant enterprise image...

But i hv to say, the most downside of this sort of cafes here is sometimes there would be some ppl doing the drug shots in the restroom.
I just bumped into one girl here today....kinda special experience......
However, it didnt ruin my wonderful afternoon in Cafe Allegro..:)
