Just one day after going back Seattle from Vegas, the winter quarter starts on Jan 3rd, 2006. Until now, two weeks hv passed, almost everything is settled down, too. So it might be the time to make some expectations for myself in this quarter.
Hmmm…I think I didn’t make good use of the 2005 autumn quarter. I didn’t arrange my class schedule and daily life well. Thus, I gain nothing but the weight…-_-“. I really hope I can hv lots of progress in this winter quarter. After all, half of my life in UW almost has gone, and I don’t know if I can stay in US for the following year……

Haha, during the winter break, Yichin, an UO exchange student also from NTU, visited my place. Though being exchange student w/o any US degree here, we both hope we can be “good” exchange students and eat less snacks in the following quarter; in order to get rid of the bad image of exchange students (that is playing all day long) from us.

Well, I take 14 credits this quarter and try to audit one course. However, I don’t have same classes with Aidan, Sandy, and Neil anymore…>.MKTG 575 High-tech Marketing class. It’s a brand new class for me, and I enjoy it so far. In this course, I hv a team with Alison, Bill, Michael, and Jason; three Americans and one Korean GEMBA. Haha, it’s a team that I hv to speak English all the time. Good!

MKTG 570 Int’l Marketing class. Originally, I don’t plan to take this one b/c the evaluation of this course previously seems not good enough. But the cases of the other class (Competing in global economics) I planned to take aren’t interesting to me, and the loading is too heavy. So I decide to drop that one and take Int’l MKT instead. There aren’t so many ppl in this course, maybe it would be a good chance for me to say more in class. In this class, I hv a team with David (GEMBA) and Jack (an exchange from HK). I don’t know them well b/4. So just hope the team project will go smoothly lo! Btw, I like the hamburger David’s wife made… Thank u, David!

In addition, I’m so happy that both Cathy (GEMBA) and I are in these classes. She is really a good marketing person and an easy-going frnd! But it’s still a pity that I can’t form a team w/ her…
BCMU 510 Biz Communication for managers. Aidan, Sandy, and Neil took the similar class last quarter. Though it’s not a class I’ll gain lots of professional knowledge, it’s definitely a good training for me to make more formal presentation exercise since I only had one chance to present in last quarter. I was really awful that time…-_-“.

There are more readings and assignments in these courses compared to the ones I took last quarter. Well, believe me, I’m not a student who enjoy studying all the time. I just wanna force myself to improve my English and communication skills more. Or I’m wasting my dear parents’ money…>.
I also take another 2-credit BizComm class, but we won’t hv class until the middle of Feb. So let’s just wait and see lo!

BCN Project: Tully’s at Antioch. This quarter, I’ll also complete this project with William, Jaron, and Sheetal. It’s a marketing project. The characteristic of Tully’s coffee in Antioch is a little similar to 喜憨兒麵包店 in TWN. But we are still at the very beginning now…

Last, I enroll in the course “Writing for Magazines“held by UW Experimental College. It may be another supplement for me since I can’t take any media-related classes. Also, compared to Culinary Arts Courses I also want to learn, this media class is much cheaper.

Hmm…It’s only the beginning of the winter quarter. I hope I won’t be busy to death in the following weeks…-_-“. But I enjoy more and more studying and surfing the Internet in the café! Ya!
